Stress Check is designed to be quiet, private, and simple. This page describes what happens with the information you enter, in plain language. If anything is unclear, email hello@stresscheck.app.
1. Data we collect from you
We do not ask you for your name, email address, phone number, or any other identifier to take the assessment. Your answers to the questions are the only information you enter, and they are stored only in your own browser (session storage), not on our servers.
2. Where your answers live
- • Session storage — your current answers and score, cleared when you close the tab.
- • Local storage — your theme preference (light or dark).
- • No server database stores your responses.
3. Cookies and analytics
The core assessment does not use tracking cookies. If the site operator has enabled privacy-friendly analytics (Google Analytics 4 and/or Microsoft Clarity), they run in a cookieless / consent-denied configuration. See our Cookie Policy.
4. Sharing and selling
We do not sell, rent, or share your answers with any third party. There are no advertising trackers on this site.
5. Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK, or another region with similar rules, you have rights to access, rectify, erase, and object to processing of your personal data. Because we do not collect or store personal data on our servers, most of these rights are effectively self-served — clearing your browser storage removes everything about your session.
6. Your rights (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale/share of your personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
7. Children's privacy
Stress Check is not directed at children under 16. Please do not use this service if you are under 16.
8. Deleting your data
You can clear your current results at any time using the button below, or by closing the browser tab.
9. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Because we do not store your answers on a server, there is no server-side record for attackers to target.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
